Hotels in Treptow-Köpenick

Treptow-Köpenick is Berlin's water district: the Müggelsee lake, the Dahme river and long stretches of Spree riverbank. Lakeside hotels, spa resorts and the hub of Berlin's passenger-boat traffic are all here, with Treptower Park and the Plänterwald woods filling in the green.

Staying in Treptow-Köpenick: location, transport, price level

Treptow-Köpenick is Berlin's largest district by area and its most water-rich: the Müggelsee, the Dahme and the Spree plus long stretches of forest. Treptower Park with the Soviet War Memorial sits close to the center, while Köpenick old town with its palace and town hall is a good half hour further east.

Overnight rates here are almost always cheaper than downtown, and the supply ranges from lakeside hotels to small guest houses. The district works best for guests with time on their hands or a rental car. For a weekend packed with sightseeing, the trip into Mitte is noticeably longer.
